Lost Odyysey sold well over 1 million copies. Blue Dragon sold about 750K. JRPG never sell that great anyways unless they are Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. JRPG is a niche market in countries outside of Japan. Other games would probably sell better outside of Japan.

Yes, but being 1080P @ 30fps doesn't guarantee that the game will be good. The PS4 has a lot of 1080P games that are pretty bad. Drive Club is a perfect example. Too bad the developers aren't taking full advantage of the XB1. All you have to do is look at Quantum Break and Horizon 2 to know this game should run at 1080P on the XB1 with no problems. Game is incredible. This is the racing game to get this holiday. Sony/Evolution blew it with DriveClub. Everyone is having a hard time getting online to play with others. Servers are having all kind of problems and the game isn't all that great either. What's worse, Sony has pulled the FREE PS+ version of DC from the PS Store. That's a raw deal right there. I've been playing Horizon 2 for about 6 hours and have gotten to L18 so far. Having tons of fun.
Damn this game looks even more impressive every time I see it. It's definitely Day One for me. I loved the Max Payne games and Alan Wake was a lot of fun as well. XB1 is starting to show its true power. Next year is going to be good.
Who said The Order 1886 was trash? The game looks great also. My only concern is with the gameplay, as someone who had played it at the show said it felt like the game was on rails and you were just guided from location to location and had to shoot and kill enemies in the area. Similar to a Virtua Cop or Time Cop type game, but from a different perspective of course. I'll judge the game for myself once it's released. I hope you have full control and the gameplay is fun.

That's very true. I thought if Microsoft was smart they would strike up a deal with their nemesis APPLE and work with them to create a game console with the APPLE name on it. They could call it the IboX. APPLE is loved all over the world, especially in Japan and Europe. Their IPhones and IPad sell like crazy. This would be interesting.
The Wii U has been out for a whole year longer. So it's not really surprising. The XB1 will surpass the Wii U within the next year. I'm sure it will be pretty close after these holidays, that's for sure.

Was anyone able to get a nice NBA 2K15 Face scan? This is why I refuse to pay full price for any NBA 2K game anymore. NBA 2K14 for next-gen consoles was a joke. Tons of stuff missing and the game was far from realistic in terms of stats. defense and offensive scoring and the very poor A.I.
The install base is growing outside of Japan. The developers will still make money if the game sells well outside of Japan. The game wouldn't be just exclusive to the Japan market. That would be dumb to do that. Even the PS4 needs to sell their Japan developed games outside of Japan because Japan's market is so small. That's a given. Yes, it can stay exclusive to the XB1. No different then Bloodborne staying exclusive to the PS4.
The games won't just be released in Japan. I think that's the point you guys are missing. Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon sold pretty well in areas outside of Japan.
He's support Japanese developers so they can make games for worldwide distribution, not just in Japan. There will be millions of systems in Europe and US that will buy some of these Japanese developed games. Not a waste of money. It's all about trying to grow the interest in the games and hardware.
