In my opinion a protagonist dying in an RPG (or really any game in general) just makes it more dramatic and adds to the emotional value of the story. I really don't understand why everyone complains about it.

My cousin and I actually quit playing BF3 due to this input lag bullshit. BF3 is the ONLY game where I've experienced this issue (except for the KZ series), and after months of supposed "progress" they still don't know anything regarding the cause.
I was a massive fan of DICE after the beauty that was BFBC2, but this just completely pisses me off. Feels like a $60 purchase gone to shit.
