Million dollar question here, one is games realted (something that an ad for a gaming console should be) and the other ad was not. Can you take off the MS blunders to correctly answer whys one of these things is not like the other?

The rest of your list was made mainstream on the Wii. Ever heard of Wii fitness and Wii sports? These came out WAY before the Kinect.

All three of these components did nothing but improve games (cell is some what up for discussion(than again Uncharted, Last of us etc. Would not be possible without it but I digress)) We have seen many instances throughout this gen when Bluray was almost a necessity and we have seen plenty of devs praise the PS3 for having an HDD in every console. Kinects practicality does not hold a candle to any of these components and never will, stop reaching.
But these don't come at an extra cost to the consumer, I'm sorry sir but your comparison was horrible.
