It already is, but in a different way; sadly, devs are forgetting that we are supposed to play the GAMEPLAY, not the story.
Cough * heavy rain mass effect*
This type of make your own story shit is a cop out for terrible writing.
Final Fantasy 12 was the best.
Best open world for me, an actual world, not a city. It just felt so large.
Look, I understand mindless action pleases the majority, Uncharted, Halo, all shooters, arcade racing, but this doesn't make it "good"
Doesn't matter, as long as these Burnout assholes are making them, they'll suck. Bring back the MW/Carbon series back.
...Until next gen God of War comes out -- With real gameplay and great cinematography.
EDIT: Yes unfortunately multiplayer was introduced to god of war which is like the dumbest decision of the century after GTA V's "only los santos"
tl;dr: She a stupid hoe
The fact that they had God of War series, TLOU, and a shit-ton of variety of top-tier games, while xbox' big 3 are alien/space-shooters, one of which is no longer an exclusive, and the fact that Wii's technology is on par with the Sega Genesis, prove that they are indeed the gods of this generation, the one before, and the next one.
Sales got nothing to do with it. And if you say they do, PS2 is still the all-time best-seller, so yeah, an old-gen console is a god over a ...
TLOU not having the same generic story line as Uncharted doesn't equate to revolutionary story writing.
What people don't realize is that AC was never really a legit assassination game.
The gameplay is so f***king slow, the combat takes hours, getting back on your feet after falling takes longer than a coma, and hitting with a sword feels like slo-mo when it's supposed to be swift.
There's no stealth either. Just platforming. Like climbing that opera house in front of hundreds of people, to "assassinate" someone who could have easily spot...
Hipster crap.
Final Fantasy 12 was my favorite; the world of Ivalice is hands down the best open world out there. Sure it was separated into sections instead of being one large piece of land, but it was still 5 seconds, not ages like Skyrim, and the best thing is: It was an actual world; it had variety of places, not just 2-3 very similar cities with copy-paste buildings and crap. Wherever I went I felt like I was exploring it. No redundancy or lack of creativity.

What I can't stand most (not directed at anyone)are these retarded people going "oh I hate cheats I don't want them; they make the game too easy or something"
Then don't fucking use them you inbred. For some people, GTA is never about the story or intensity; it's just for pure fun, and I'd like to blow up every car in the world or Spawn Jet planes and weapons whenever I want, that's what I loved about San Andreas. I'm glad GTA V has those...
One reason: there are lots of creatures we call 'fags' that will still buy it no matter how shitty it is, because they have crappy taste.
Even Brody, who has a picture of Cartman when he was like "what eva! I do what I want!"
is telling you that you are shit-posting. That's gotta tell you something.
Most overrated game ever now even with MP
"X-box it doesn't matter because they all sucked"
Too bad
I expected a Shrek hack and slash
I like SP more cuz it has that ellen page ripoff girl, im a fan of ellen :)
Elizabeth > generic companion trying to be witty
Elizabeth > ellen page ripoff
Not really. A lifeless world would be an empty one, Skyrkim's; A generic one, AC's; or a nerfed down version with better gfx and less creativity, GTA v's
I dare you to name any world with more variety of places
Unless your favorite ff is the emo fest known as FFX, starring Bieberz and Selena Gomez, then your opinion is inferior by default.
