PS+ still doesn't give you party chat ... which is one area the 360 lays the smack down.
I game on PC, X360 and PS3 so "fanboy" this /* grabs junk */
Honestly, my enthusiasm was raised more by the OXM XCOM Youtube videos that the demo/tutorial. Regardless, color me day one purchased!
There is no universal right answer ... either the higher maintenance costs (time/$) of PC gaming is worth it to you or it isn't. Moving along ...
I did not mean to imply that, rather that PCs need more maintenance than consoles.
I was a diehard PC gamer from 1995 - 2008. Then as I had less money/time to troubleshoot and upgrade I shifted to consoles.
I am far from computer illiterate (I troubleshoot PCs for a living). I much prefer to spend my free time playing as opposed to tracking down a driver, or slapping a new heatsink/fan in, or upgrading an OS .... not a console fanboy, PC games look better and are typically much more moddable, are cheaper, etc.
So the trade off of lower reso...
Likewise, I could GAF what you like as well.
Right, if they are so fine as you all say, then why do they not sell in NA or EU?
For the record, the only JRPGs I have liked of late are Dark/Demon Souls ... but even then ... has to be something goofy (its from Japan) so lets do whacko multiplayer.
Both of those titles would have sold so much more if they had drop in coop.
Also, yes I played Valkyria ... hello ... the blonde protagonist ? She talks so goo goo gah gah baby talk ... as do mos...
* abandoned goofy/wack phase and turn based combat (real time only pls thx)
* not every game needs anime/FFX style hair/faces/eyes
* seamless, open-world never hurts
* make them more mature ... bubbly cutesy baby talk is not appealing to most western gamers
Nice read.
This game is too generic and asks too little of the RPG gamer to engage with.
In 3 months, this game will not be discussed remotely to the degree that Skyrim still is.
Not a bad first attempt from 38 Studios tho.
Look at the lack of any regulation .. say .. the android marketplace.
While I don't like waiting for M$ and Sony to "ok" a release ... its there for a reason.
Android marketplace is filled with malware, pirated IP and no real QC.
I did say that there have been games without jumping that I did like.
I also said myself it was a generalization.
Reading comprehension ftl.
You're killing it today snook. Props
I concur. A visit to their forums, where any remotely critical view is met with rampant fanboism will confirm this. Curt and the mods hold no punches to retaliate/ban or otherwise censor.
The veiling of House of Valor as a reward for new purchasers put me off. I am skipping until gamefly blows out their copies.
I am more excited for this than Amalur.
Amalur is not open world. There may be enough content to combat this, but the game engine strikes me as an updated NWN with dumbed down GoW style combat. There is no jumping, most dungeons/caves have one way path. No jumping to me is always a good barometer .. you cant in any bioware game (most of which I also do not care for) .. so things like being on steps and wanting to jump down and crank them out are restricted. I do not like restraints ... maybe you do so ymmv on how big a deal this is...
Two Worlds II has that "feature" as well. Put an item in a corpse's loot screen inventory ... come back 100 hours later and its still there.
My 100 hour save file is only 700kb tho, so apparently Bethesda fails at save coding.
time constraints and MMOs do not play well together, advise you to skip and play a game that is easy to play in small doses.
Would take RDR over R* anything on PC
softball questions really tho ...
I would have asked "Why is SE talking about FFXIV on Vita and/or smart phones when the lone install base (PC) is not yet stable enough (after 1 year) to even consider being subscription worthy?"
If DPS can reliably be calculated by modders in 3rd party add-ons for WoW (all different possibilities for haste, to hit, talents, racials, etc.) then surely there is someone at Gearbox who could take a better stab at it than just punting.
