The $300 tag is unlikely. Remember just because the yen conversion is $300 doesnt mean it will be $300. hell Monster Hunter on the PSp is like $80 there.
For $60 thats not too bad, obviously will give anyone who is using it an advantage.

Piracy kills it all. I have the CFW installed to play emulators with games I already own and to try out a few new homebrew games as well. I use my PS3 primarily as my Single Player system and I will always buy my games for it, people need to support developers or you wont be playing another game from them after awhile.

No not really I LOVE my PS3 for single player games but just never really use the online features at all. I mostly play online on my PC or my 360 with my friends.
Oh I could totally see them banning, I personally dont go on PSN much so it wont really effect me. I was just saying I could also see them doing what they do with the PSP though.
Also for those of you who also downloaded the CFW please dont pirate PS3 games, only use this for Homebrew and emulators as long as you own the games.
I think they are just going to do what they do with the PSP's. Ban them from PSN until they upgrade to stock firmware. I mean it would make them a lot of money if they do what MS does and Ban them right before a major release comes out but if too many people did this CFW (like me for the emulators) then they will probably give them the option to go back to stock firmware.
Well the definitely have enough games on board to do this for the first 2 years at least and I assume there will be even more games announced at E3 2011
No it SHOULD be PC only, consoles will sadly be holding it back. PC is getting special support though so hopefully it wont be gimped.

Monster Hunter Portable 3 is $80 bucks in Japan. Remember kids just because a price is a that amount in Japan doesn't mean it will be the exact price in the states :D
Well it wont hurt them now since the CFW that just came out DOES NOT ALLOW for piracy. That being said hackers will eventaully get it to work one day.
I am actually liking this CFW though my NES broke down and I still have all my games, so this allows me to play those games (I only download what I own) on my PS3 and I love it.
Guys the CFW cant even load back ups.
This emulator is pretty sweet, I still have link to the past but my SNES died so this gives me another (legal too since I own the game) chance to play it again :D
Actually a lot of people who played it at nintendo world 2011 have said the 3D in this looks AMAZING.
