Those Resistance 3 numbers are horrible. I have been playing it and I think its the best Resistance. I hated part 2 though.
People come on N4G and gloat about the PS3 exclusives, but don't buy them. I don't understand some peoples logic. Stop gloating if you are not buying.

I tell ya, I bought one at the price-drop and scored the 20 free games. Even at that price with those games, I am disappointed in the machine.
I am disappointed in the way that Nintendo has handled the whole 3DS debacle. People can say that "there are games for it", don't fool yourself, as an owner of one, there are not that many.

And the thing is, it's not about the gamers, it's about money. I know a businesses are in it for monetary gain, but we are gamers, a different type of consumer.
We want to feel like we are part of a community, and in that community, we take care of each other. Even though we have our system or systems of preference, in the end we are a really tight-nit community.
Those codes were put in there to give gamers more for there money, and ShameStop see'...
I don't understand your statement. You say you don't see the 3DS doing well until Mario hits, but it outsold the PS3 and that is doing well?
As a gamer, this sucks. I am no fanboy, but MS needs to get more first party studios so they don't have to buy DLC timed exclusives to screw other systems.

This is a big reason as to why we are looking into another platform also. Most gamers will not take the time to look in the indie section because they feel that the graphical infidelity is not worth it.
Only a hand full of indie games succeed on XNA or any platform. But you will find more success on mobile and tablet platforms. Even if you sell 100 more units.
While you name some relevant series, I think for most people, the SNES introduced them to rpg's. For me, the SNES was a great rpg machine because that was where I played my first one and fell in love with the genre.
The PSX has some great ones also, FF IX being my favorite. I don't think you are wrong in what you state, but the SNES did some great things for the rpg genre.

As an owner of a 3DS, I think everyone has learned from what happened with the 3DS. (Speaking only of launch titles)I think the Vita will have a better one also.

Gamer will not be, but if you don't have a job and you depend on your parents to buy things, that price point in this economy will make them think twice.
I have a nephew that I buy for so I am telling you, I will think twice before I buy him one at that price point.
It will succeed. No one knows how it will do initially, but it will succeed.
Some people will be turned off by the $250 price tag because they fail to realize what technology is in it.
I tell ya, people don't understand that if uncharted is good, and gears is good then gamers win.
