Imho Blu-ray will bring the death of HDDVD.

The colours look fine to me, I think the Xbot is just trying to downplay the graphics because he is upset that MS lost an exclusive to Sony. Seriously though, the graphics look rather nice in my opinion.
Does this mean there will be planes in SR2?
In my opinion I can not see why anybody would purchase HDDVD players over Blu-ray players. What would you rather have; A future-proof format in terms of technology & capacity (Bluray) or a short-term hi-def solution which has the inferior technology of the two formats (HDDVD)? Another thing people may say is that HDDVD is cheaper, that is because of the inferior technology, also over time Blu-ray products will drop in price. So I ask the question; Why would anybody choose HDDVD?

I think it's not only the brand name but also the high-tech specification, futureproofing and reliability that is selling the PS3 and it will continue to be those reasons for the remainder of the console's life, now with the new SKUs you can add the price factor to that list, although the PS3 has always been value for money in my book.
How can Blu-ray be a mistake? Okay, so the 50GB discs probably won't be used to their full capacity for a year or two but isn't it better to have the larger capacity option there than to not have it? And when those 50 GB discs are being filled bring on the 100GB disc, that's what you call futureproofing. The main reasons Sony included a Blu-ray player in the PS3 are obvious:

I don't understand how anybody could take this article as bad news, you get the haters saying "Why would you need that extra space, its a waste of time" but surely it is better to have the availability of a larger capacity disc for the future than not?
