NO...we don't believe you and its because you lie way too much and never show links to support your lies. Got it? Got it? Good. We can read your posts...we can see the contradictions ourselves. Nice try. So you said you bought one on launch and when you got home you played oblivion. Lie. Duh. Show links to developers saying what you claim about dvd9. It shouldn't be hard right? you click the link..copy and paste it. Show you have a little cred. you already blew it big time with the...

In one of your earlier posts you said you bought it on Launch day. But now you say you bought it and popped in Oblivion. lol...Oblivion didn't come out on launch day. Thats Lie number 1. In another post you said that you sold it for 50 dollars on ebay. Now you claim you sold it for more. Also Graw wasn't a launch title either. Then you say you played it on your 32 inch hd tv but in an ealier post you said you played it on your 60 plus inch 1080p tv. lol...You lie after lie after lie. ...

Your a tuff customer. lol...If you didn't like the xbox 360 and you have a cutting edge computer with a nvidea 7950 graphix card, then you are in for the dissappointment of your life with the ps3. ID won't develope for the ps3 because of limited Ram and bottle necking with the 1 processor with 7 dsp's running through it. Unless you are buying the ps3 for blu ray movie playback. If thats the case you can't go wrong. You get a base model 2x speed blu ray drive for 600 dollars. But if you l...

have imagined games that voice recognize and lip synch what you say "IN GAME". Next Gen is here. Next Gen is now. In a matter of months you will be able to put your face in the game and with voice recognition the charactors lips will mimic what you say. And voice commands, ect. All for 300 dollars of next gen hardware. Unbelievable. WOW...

That they let dreamcast who also had an exclusive virtua fighting game FAIL. I like how the Japanese show support for a company and game. lol

Well, you are right and wrong. Yes they arent' doing well in Japan. But with the next gen consoles the xbox 360 has sold more than the ps3. Am I lying? lol...As little as they have sold they still have a lead in the Next Gen race. What Sony really needs to be worried about is Nintendo in Japan. 70 percent of people polled in Japan in a popular gaming magizine said that they would be getting the Wii and not the ps3. But thats just a poll. We will see. I'm curious. I hope Nintendo can...

Sony has just postponed the launch of its Blu-ray players again, which prompts the question: Is Sony really going to get the PlayStation 3 out this year, even in Japan, and if so, what sort of specificaiton will it have? There seem to be few or no real facts around, but there are plenty of negative rumours.

Over at Kotaku.com, for example, their "Sony Insider" points out that "Fully functional PS3 betas still do not exist" and suggests the specification will...

Thats if the price is 200 dollars. Then it will be worth it to me...lol....unless they show some better games. Right now all the games don't look as good as the 360 game and computer developers aren't doing many ports from Pc to ps3 because such little ram on the ps3. The xbox 360 has 5 times the amount of Ram for games. Thats incredible.

In two to three years the xbox 360 will be in its 4th year and developers would have mastered xna and direct X12. Thas when ps3 will finally have some decent games and maybe the price will come down and make it worth buying. I agree with NJ1307. But until then the xbox 360 is the best bet. So in actuality in 5 years the ps3 will be in its 4th year and just starting to get rolling and the next xbox with new and improved and a definate formatt winner will be preping a launch at E3. Ps3 whe...

Now you claim to know the reasoning behind Microsoft's plans. You are obsessed with no valid points and old links that don't make your invalid points. It seems like you are trying to be like the Real Deal...Minus the common sense and links that supports all his statements. Nice try but you are a fraud. A Fake. A typical Sony Fanboy. And this is coming from a Real Sony Fanboy turned Microsoft 360 LOVER. Get some facts, Get some sense, and get a life. We all see you for who you are. Th...

Can everyone see what he does? I'm starting to think the same as EVERYONE else. Maybe is his ssj or sonyisgod. He makes a statement such as "i guess you guys are stuck with dvd9" and then shows a link stating the opposite. Microsoft still plans on releasing the HD dvd drive prior to the ps3 launch. So what is his point? What is his purpose? He votes Halo 3 being tested as lame but yet he claims he bought an xbox360 and 12 games. Thats strange. Most people who bought the xb...

In my view, Sony has made two big mistakes. The first is the design of the PS3, which seems to be too ambitious for the company to handle.

The whole idea of a games console is that it should be cheap and relatively simple to mass produce -- and cost reduce. That suggests using (mostly) known parts. You can get lots of buyers if your console provides better games than a PC that costs three or four times the price, and that is less hassle to maintain. Trying to produce a console ...

If a game is exclusive...they announce it early on most of the time. This game was announced over a year ago for the 360. Why are you worried about it gametime? If you havev no intentions on getting a 360, then you shouldn't care. Just be happy its coming to the ps3 for sure. It looks to be a good game. Will you be upset if it comes to the 360 at the same time as it does for the ps3? Will that bother you? If it won't then why act like it does.

Though its only announced for the ps3, last year it was announced a multi platform title. We only know one thing as of now as a fact. Its not "exclusive to the ps3". if it was they would have said it already. But yeah it looks like it will be a good game.

No one is ever hopeless. I used to think just like Gametme a few weeks ago. I had the same thoughts and responses that he has. I don't know why but I did. For some reason I wouldn't allow myself to even see what Microsoft was doing. I finally got a 360 the other day and I couldn't be happier. I can honestly say its the best 400 dollars I have EVER spent in my life thusfar. So if I could change then anyone can. And loving the 360 doesn't make me hate sony all of a sudden. If I have th...

My answer to your questions is NO. Sony greatly exaggerated the performance of the ps2. The best game I played on the ps2 is God of War. And thats 5 years into the ps2's life cycle. So by Sony's own standards they over hype their hardware and it takes years to even scratch the surface of what they initially claimed.

That's the wisest thing anyone has typed. Its clear that you are the Real Deal and that you are unbiased. Well said dude. You can't argue with anything you said. It just...well...."Real" ;. Now back to playing Call of Duty 2. Man that game rocks online.

What about standalone physics accelerator cards? Carmack doesn't see these taking off in the near future, as they'd be hard to integrate with games. Right now they'd be useful for "fancy smoke and water and waving grass," but nothing integral to gameplay. He fears that the first generations of these cards would allow games to do more, but at the cost of slowing the framerate down.

When asked about the differences in platforms, Carmack noted that there's less of a distinction between developing for the next-gen consoles as there is for this generation. The difference between the Xbox and the PS2 was massive, but going back and forth between the Xbox 360 and the PS3 looks to be less of a problem. (Although still difficult.)

Single vs. Multithread Processing

Carmack points out that there could be diminishing returns with the next generation of consoles, thanks to the architecture of the hardware. Although the PS3's Cell processor is powerful, it's still a single-thread processor (unlike high-end PC processors). There's not much more technology can do to crank more speed out of a single-threaded processor. To make up for this deficiency, multiple processors are used: multithreading and parallelism i...
