As the online community, and the popularity of socializing via our technology grows, of course gaming will grow with it, and online multiplayer has already been gaining momentum for some time now. A lot of people like the idea of being able to interact with other gamers and see them more as people/unique individuals then just 3 initials or a username, and I think avatars are just a way to instantly convey an opinion or part of your personality to other gamers. For example, I am a huge Dead Sp...

Ouch, that's quite a tumble the poor little dude took. Thank goodness he was okay and lesson hopefully learned about being a little more careful/aware of his surroundings when he's so involved in something else; especially around such dangerous areas. Common sense and peripheral vision FTW! I just hope we don't hear a damn squalor about portable game systems being unsafe because of this; a situation of this kind could have just as easily occurred while texting (near a fountain may...

It can definitely be annoying, though in fairness, 6 months is quite a wait; often I'd be too impatient to wait that long depending on the generally small amount of money that would be saved in doing so. I don't own a 360 or gaming rig powerful enough to play ME2, so I had to wait for the port. Got it now, and I've already beaten the game once, and am still loving it to death on my second play through. ^_^

At least now-a-days with games, people are often given the...

@Cornet1
Well believe it you tool, I don't own an Xbox 360 and I'm not about to waste my money on one when I have no desire to own it, AND I can now play one of the very few games on Xbox that actually interested me on my PS3. Now if I'd had a sweet gaming rig, I probably would have gotten ME2 for the PC, but I don't, so I think it's perfectly reasonable.

Edit - Wow... Lol, what a douche. I wouldn't take it to heart Dragon82, he's obviously...

If my avatar didn't give it away, Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition for PS3 is personally my first priority! :D I can't wait to get my hands on that sexy replica plasma cutter. xD *geek*

Mass Effect 2 and LBP 2 will be close behind, soon as my wallet can catch up, lolol.

xD Well said, I couldn't have put it better myself.

I am more then pleased with the line up for this year, both for exclusives and multi-plat games. And I have no problem with sequels; I happen to love seeing my favorite stories continued, often bigger, and better then before. I'm pretty sure all of the Halo/COD fans feel the same, haha. You look throughout time, and follow ups are plenty 'original' and popular enough, on ALL consoles. Examples, Final Fantasy...

Sorry guy, but lol at someone thinking that was supposed to be Cloud! xD

That was fantastic, I can't wait to see more of what wonderfully creative people are undoubtedly going to do with LBP2. Can't wait to get my hands on it, hehe. :D

I find it hilarious how many gamers who jumped on the 'let's all hate on PS3' bandwagon and doomed it to utter failure are now saying, 'Well golly, let's just give the Kinect a chance and wait to see what comes out of it.' Oh good! You've developed foresight, lmfao.

In any case, funny vid. Reminds me of that wonderful moment when you realized for the first time that you could do better on the Wii flicking your wrist then actually mimicking the move...

Honestly, the biggest reason I don't finish games as often as I used to is because there are so many great titles coming out so quickly and I don't have as much time as I'd like (or as I used to as a kid, before I was married and had a job lol) to play, not because of anything inherently wrong or less enjoyable about the games.

Yeah, you've got to love it when someone adds you after an online multiplayer match, and ends up just messaging CAN WE GAME SHARE PLZ!?!? lol... DELETE. :P Anyway, I have no problems with the PSN messaging me, but like others have said, not really all that new.

Considering how most of those who declare themselves to be gaming journalists are pretty much nothing but a joke anyway, why not have people who are actually funny do the job? :P I'd love to see Stephen Colbert do a review of Red Dead Redemption. I have a feeling he'd really enjoy wasting those grizzly bears, lol.

It just seems as though the Western market has shifted focus further away from the JRPG towards the WRPG, possibly to try to target a broader spectrum of audience. But that has no bearing on the Japanese market.

Really wish we could get some more quality JRPGs over here for the new console generation. White Knight Chronicles had some interesting concepts, but overall seemed rushed and was admittedly disappointing. And we all know how FFXIII turned out... maybe if Squenix had...

Love this article. ^_^ Final Fantasy VIII will always hold a special place in my heart as an awesome game with an endearing cast and story. And I admittedly also had a pixel crush on Squall. :3 AND Rinoa. >.> xD

I think that Hugh Jackman or even possibly Joe Flanigan could pull off a decent Nate. However, with the long track record of movie adaptations of video games epically failing, the odds of an Uncharted film living up to expectations might be tenuous at best... Although, God knows they're trying to improve the quality of the VG based films, since it seems original material is sorely lacking right now in the movie industry, and games are a gold mine of new concepts for them to try to profit ...
