The whole purpose of a site that reports news though is to report the news, Sony were obviously going to deny it true or not true, so it was placed as a rumour and reported.
If it is true the site won't look silly to you any more and if it isnt the site has done nothing wrong because it clearly stated rumour in the header and said take with a large pinch of salt within the article.
Its only a rumour as the site says, its still news.
It was just a tip we were sent, it sounded interesting so we posted it under rumour.
I imagine a large pinch of salt may be needed, but who knows.

Anyway if you read the article it doesn't fully praise the device, it offers a balanced view and gives good reason why it could be huge. It certainly doesn't proclaim the device to be perfect.
