Yes it's based on a demo but these are still story concerns for the author people. He's worried that the game has been neutered and hopefully the final version is as authentic of a game as the previous Mass Effects so chill out everybody.
Also he said he'd play the entire Mass Effect games before plus Bioware games previously so he's best to judge on a game by a developer he's followed throughout the console generations clod.
That's why the author said it's based on a demo and will probably change his opinion based on the final version if you read the note before but you probably didn't.
It is and it isn't, it could use less limitations and an actual space for indies. Maybe They'll learn with their next console.

It's a very "To each their own" thing. Some people like being told where to go in Shadow Complex and some people like to explore the depths of Brinstar with just an empty map, begging to be explored and figure out everything on your own. For a site called Xbox Kinect Fans, this just reads straight out of someone's emotional gaming blog. Not a legitimate game site whatsoever. Nicely written but this has nothing to do with Kinect in any shape or form. There's no point in me reading this unless I saw this on your Tumblr/Blogspot or something.
