If it was worldwide, you would see the wii dominate. I think (no official numbers) that nintendo is producing like a millions each month. And the other two would have a few more units from japan (ps3) and europe (360).

Now 300 000 for the month of January so that bring it to a total of 10,8 millions xbox sold.
If nexgenwars is wrong, it is because they give a lower number then acutal sales.
Who do we trust between NPD, a marketing research services, industry tracking, data collection and analysis who claim xbox 360 sold 11 millions consoles, or a dumb 8 years old with no knowledge of the gaming or retail industry ?
