Why would they when they're making new ones every year? Veteran players that enjoy the older ones have the older ones to play and the series is gaining new converts all the time –so many that few of them would probably care about the good old days.
Games as cinematic as Uncharted should really stay level-based to drive the story home and not get caught up in fetch-quests.
I sure don't anymore and few others should when they've either already had to buy the game out of necessity or got playing something else.

The side missions are so much better than the campaign it's awesome.
