I liked FFXII though, just not as much as the other ones from the PS1.

if it weren't a direct sequel I would agree but....
this game is gonna be a total mess. Is not using the same engine, the game's being made by a 3rd rate developer and is not even 60 frames. What is the point of calling it a Call of Duty game when this will be nothing more than some random generic shooter?
FFVII is my favorite FF game of all but nothing and I mean, nothing beats the FF8 intro.

if they keep delivering then gamers will naturally flock to their systems. Don't you think this is a better business plan for us and for them if it works? Gamers aren't stupid, they will chose the system with the better games. Or at least this is what I think....
at this time the smoothness of the frame-rate doesn't matter anymore because in a 30 frames action game the battle system is forced to use only canned combos because they are pre-calculated anyway. So at the end nothing will be that much different between each version but it'll be a far cry from the older games. That's for sure. And then you add the almost automatic pointless platforming and you have the recipe to ruin a series.

I bought Fear Effect 1 & 2 a few months ago for like 9 bucks on ebay and from what I have played of the first game it blew me away how good it was. Maybe after I beat Yakuza 4 I will go back to it because I have so many games I don't even know what to play and I like playing 1 at a time unless it is a fighting game or something.
