I wanted the CvS2 re-release to be like this but instead we got a crappy over-priced direct port from the PS2 with no 16:9 support nor online play. Freaking Capcom always trolling me....
I kind of agree with this. As much as I like consoles the casual market is getting too big and now those kind of gamers can get that light gaming experience basically everywhere which would reduce the total hardware sales of consoles.

exactly. And even then the platforming in Uncharted is more or less kind of automatic. It's really rare that you would fall by jumping from platform to platform.
When you see the tropical setting of the first Uncharted and the animation it screams Crash Bandicoot. The cover/shooting with wave after wave of enemies scream Gears of War. The Charming story and setting screams Indiana Jones/Romancing the Stone. The game has a bit of Prince of Persia in it too.
Uncharted is a cover-based cinematic and very linear shooter with a puzzle between stages. Uncharted series shares more similarities with Gears of War, Crash Bandicoot and Indiana Jones than with Tomb Raider. The games are so different in presentation, gameplay and story that saying that you like one doesn't mean that you will like the other.
Tomb Raider has more exploration, the platforming is more acrobatic like Mario, is not cinematic, less action oriented, less linear...

if this gen still lacks a true compelling JRPG what makes you think that someone will make one for next gen when the budgets will only get bigger? If anything they will continue the migration to handhelds.
Come on… We are on 2012 and there are still people that doesn’t know that the PS3 can play PS1 games? The system lacks PS2 BC but not PS1!
And if the rumors are true that the PS4 will use x86 architecture then any modder could port a PS1/PS2 emulator with a jail-break. BC is not hard to achieve when you have the power, this is just Sony’s greed to keep selling those crappy HD collections that still doesn't even look half as good as the same emulated on a PC with ePSXe or ...
when are they going to release the CPU and GPU specs? Are we going to have to wait for modders to tell us what's under the hood of the Wii U? Nintendo can stay silent but they cannot hide this forever so what is the point of not making an official reveal?
Youtube frame-rate is capped at 30 frames and not to mention the heavy compression even on 1080p. -_-
If the game dips below 20 frames you will not be able to notice it because youtube will make it look like 30.
You need to download direct-feed videos and not many sites provide that kind of service. From the ones I know: Digital Foundry and gamersyde.com but DMC reboot gameplay does seem laggy. The game will be just another button masher with a bunch of canne...

streaming games with even better quality than current gen games would be possible too so for those that don't want to jump in to next gen so soon they could enjoy some PS4 tittles on the PS3!
after having to download 16GB to play DC Universe and not to mention the huge patchs, DLC and the space it all took from my HDD I can say that DD ONLY is not the future. We first need better bandwidth and way bigger HDDs without breaking the bank before we can say that DD will completely replace discs.
that's what I always say. The ones that should innovate are the developer not the hardware manufacturer. Sony doesn't even make games, they just buy Studios and give them a budget to make them. Kutaragi is the one that made the PS1, PS2 and PS3 but he is no game developer so he doesn't know what is good for games.

The Cell is not a general purpose CPU so it can't work on the PC because it only has one PPU. If you put a Cell on a PC it would be like having a single core CPU doing all the work because you have to program each SPE individually from scratch and PC games aren't optimized to make much use of the CPU. ...
people, buy the ZOE collection to send the message that we want ZOE 3 for real! ZOE 1 was crap but when Kojima became one of the directors (it has 3 directors) ZOE 2 happened and it was amazing!

graphics are a pretty big improvement over Y3 & Y4. They finally fixed the broken draw-distance and the NPC's appearing and disappearing when moving the camera around. @_@
