Remember most games last gen were either 720P or lower depending on game and dev.

As for destruction disappearing, it's for a simple reason. Players get stuck on objects, clipping. No weight when you can push a concrete slab along with ease.
I'm all for pushing games in new ways, but people need to wait to see it running outside in the real world.

I use both a PC AND PS4.
PC-Some games suited better to mouse and keyboard. Photography photoshop and many other things.
PS4- Exclusives, games I want to play with friends on PS4, Streaming to tv, etc.
Both have their uses.
4K is excellent, but just like anything else, once 4k has been done to death 8k, or some other thing will be pushed to consumers.
Tech is always held back, 5-10 years.

Completely different setting.
But visually Driveclub is unmatched by any racer on any system.
NFS looks good as it the last game using frostbite. Excellent engine. Would love to see some city tracks in driveclub as well.
