Graphics will not help a machines situation. The Xbox 1 and Dreamcast are testaments to that. Games are why the PS2 dominated and why the 360 is besting the PS3(at the moment). Heck, the Wii is smashing everything and has the weakest graphics of this generation hands-down.

Last I checked MS had the same kind of money last generation that they have now. So why now , are they getting all Sony's franchises? Maybe because those companies actually want to make money this generation? Look you guys gotta face facts here, if Microsoft wanted to "steal" these franchises they could have did that back on the first Xbox, when might I add they had the most powerful machine on the market! They don't have to steal anything from a machine that couldn't catch any real...

Look Sqaure does not owe Sony ANYTHING! No one told them to charge $500 dollars for a machine that after 2 years would only have 1 or 2 games that separates itself from the competition. You can't get mad at them for wanting to make money. And why all this selfishness over a few series that you wont make any personal gain from? Do you work for Sony? If not, why the hell do you care? You are still getting the game. My personal idea is that ALL games, unless made or published by the manufacturer...
Sonic is a character in Smash Bros. as well and a lot of his games suck, Fable may not have the vast popularity of MGS, but it does have enough popularity to help keep the XBox 360 in a comfortable position. The PS3 is a great machine, but Metal Gear is NOT going to save it, it hasn't and it never will. The 360 is the best machine you can own, with at least a solid title in every genre. The PS3 is more powerful, and yes the games coming down the pipe look REALLY good, but by THIS Christmas the 360 will have something for everyone. But look at it this way......You are right journalist should be objective, but human beings, have a habit of liking what they like. It's called an opinion. He may lean toward a certain thing but that's his business. If you think about it I prefer someone who will be outspoken about what they like so that I know when and when not to hold their opinion on any kind of pedestal. What machine leads development, an ok game is just that.....OK. Last i checked gameplay translates well between both machines, with a few acceptions, namely Orange Box, and thats ONLY because Valve didn't develop it themselves.
It's hard to justify giving a single player game a high score now a days anyway......Bioshock, yea Fallout 3? maybe. But look how deep those games are. The demo was awesome but the game is........let's just say it, Psi ops with Jedis. That sounds bad, but Psi-ops was a good game......just not a great one. If you have thirty dollars and backwards compatible PS3 or even a Ps2 laying around, you can get the anthology with waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy more Alpha Stuff on it!
