dont agree man, Extremetech is a newsworthy place, his concerns are valid...but not to the common user.
All his needs are those of a videophile, the 360 works and works well, the common user cannot see the problems he has because they haven't got 50000 dollar surround sound, tv systems.

And i've searched the ps3 is not the best blu ray player.
right now it costs you more to buy an hd dvd and blu ray computer drive seperate..your not a reader are you? these aren't just viewing drives they are recorders. *shakes head* to buy an hd dvd recorder and an blu ray recorder seperate would cost more then to buy the dual format one.
*edit: yes i saw it can only read hd dvd, so i can just ammend my text and say that it would cost more to get an blu ray and hddvd reader for the comp.*
and all the concerns he voiced are only concerns for videophiles not a single home common user knows any thing about that stuff, as well i've seen 360's hd dvd playback in 1080i and 1080p those tests must look for some pretty obscure crap cause it looked beautiful.

why would their need to be incentive to stay with silver? when it doesn't matter if you have silver or not, your paying nothing, and with this your just missing the latest demos by a week, still far sooner then what you get on ps3's free service, incentive is a reason to stay with something your paying for not something for free.
and it saves bandwidth so the gold members can the week before the silver members get the demo get it faster.

wow ps3 has an ethernet port...but do all other blu ray players? but then again its a good thing for you since really the only blu ray player selling is the ps3....with out that system blu ray would be dead, sony should be damn happy microsoft didn't include the hd dvd player in the 360.
