It's all personal choice. I'm still exploring RDR2's world, and some people think it's a chore. I played a short story game the other day that was pretty cool and played some mid range games that were awesome too.
Money is the issue. If I had a ton of money I would buy all the short one shot games I could, but now only being able to buy 2 to 3 games a year, I usually save that for the more meaty games.

? They have taken timeless classics and turned them into cellphone games, multiplayered everything and made games so easy to the point when a difficult one shows, there's outrage.
