The fact is that the theory is already been proven since the release of Uncharted 1. With UC2 we've seen the 100% use of the cell and look UC2 is the most graphically impressive console game so far. Heck its being compared to Crysis. Yeah Carmack isn't the 1st dev to complain about the cell but he didn't groan and moan about it and give up like valve. Having uncharted 2 being compared to other games. This proves that it achieved the graphical benchmark it set out to be.
Still the most of the media still has a love affair with the 360 and can't stand the fact that a ps3 exclusive has the most one of the best graphics ever.
So they try and try and will keep on trying.
I still got respect for DICE but this article proves that Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 had set the bar in graphics.
