It is all that should matter to you.
Remember when people just played games for the fact that they are games and didn't have to pick a side in a stupid, pointless war between billionaires? I miss that.
I could always take out tyson on punch Out. It was Super macho man I have a huge problem with. To this day I have never once beaten him. I usually pick up the game once a month just to see if I can. The fristration of not being able to beat SMM. Led directly to me gettng the code to Tyson tattooed around my forearm to represent the video game code I have used the most during my life.
Playing Animal Crossing has led me to kill 47 people on non-consecutive occasions. Luckily the game taught me how to properly bury things or turn them into cute clothing or household items.
Your unbiasedness is showing. It is bad enough that people feel the need to pick and defend a single video game system without idiots picking and trashing/defending video game websites.
I highly doubt you work for IGN and if you do, are they aware you are on other websites making their site look idiotic?
I used to work in comics as a journalist. This is pretty much the same response you would get from Marvel, DC, or Image when someone was let go or quit. You'll never get an official statement of any substance from CNet regarding this unless the sh**storm just becomes absolutely terrible.
Good article. I don't know about production, but I worked retail for the first six months that the Wii was out. It was hell on me and my staff being told by DMs to stockpile Wiis for some stupid sale they were planning and seeing all these disappointed people. Even with six months out of retail I still try and use my meager connections to help friends and family get a Wii. I have yet to meet anyone disappointed in purchasing it.
Firing someone for giving an opinion in an opinion column. One of the stupidest things I have ever heard.
but I will take a good book over a video game anyday. I spend maybe four hours a week gaming, and at least double that reading.
Were you dropped on your head as a child?
Got to agree with the Chronotrigger nod. Just lent my copy to my friend the other day and now I want it back so I can play it again.
Please tell me you misspelled your username on purpose?
@GIJeff, your Wii post is pretty moronic. Just saying. Wii is not only for kids and elderly. Games like Zelda, MP: Corruption, and SMG were made to be enjoyed by all and are quite good. Sorry you can't appreciate that.
I'll buy a PS3 eventually I would like to rebuy a 360 but if it never really gets an exclusive app I want to play I can do without it. I don't play games online so I don't care about XBL. I don't see any chance of me ever getting rid of my Wii though.
I missed something but I have never seen any proof or Microsoft paying reviewers in any way for positive reviews. Do you have any links or proof you could provide? Or is this your opinion based on hearsay?
It is this whole need to be a part of a winning team BS. I have owned the 360 (not anymore) and currently only own a Wii. I can't wait for the day when I have all three and have the time to play the games i enjoy on all systems (including my PC). I play games and series that I like. I don't care what billionaires win some stupid madeup console war.
But stories like this are part of the reason I gave up on xbox live. I fancy myself as an adult and just couldn't handle the morons that populated that place. It got to the point where I wouldn't even use a headset, just play. I can understand neeeding to do it in some instances but I'll stick to getting my purile, moronic humor when I want it.
But my post was pretty much meant to be tongue in cheek posted quickly before leaving for lunch. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Your god is an idiot that has herpes and is probably gay. Religion is outdated and idiotic and has no place in enlightened society. Go away and let the normal, accepting people live their lives.
Pointing out that one is gay is crude now?
People actually talk to each other during online games? I didn't realize that many were starved for companionship and human contact.
I worked at a Gamestop in various managerial positions for 2+ years. I am now out and happier than ever. After dealing with shady DMs, idiotic protocols, marketing people with heads shoved up their rear ends I will never give that company money again. I know it doesn't hurt them one bit but it makes me feel better. Of the five different companies I have worked for since I became of working age, Gamestop was easily the worst. The other companies (who will not be named) are not even in the same...
