Hold your horses cowboy. If the ps3 launched at 600 and it was a powerful machine will we see a 600 or lower price tag on a even more powerful machine? I doubt it I could be wrong though. But know this If the ps and xbox are at similar price points with similar graphics and what ever else is in the box. Someone will struggle. Also who the hell made you a game developer or publisher.

Nintendo - we sold less units than the wiiu at release but we made more revenue because it was more expensive.
Oh yeah in a rough economy we still managed to make more money on a high priced peice of equipment than the 360 and ps3.

There were units available because there were supplies there. I think they made one mistake to many basic units. It's going to be fun to see what people think after the next gen pricing. Budgeting is big now.
Although you have some good points you are wrong about a few things. The Wiiu is doing just fine with no super games out there. There Revenue is looking good and there stock just went up and there moving a good deal of units. They predicted there number they'll hit and they should have games to help them get there. Also I think dependent on x box and sony pricing could dictate if the wiiu looks a lot better. Also don't expect a price drop this year either.
I think that if the ps4 or whatever they call it and the xbox are priced the same and they offer the same experience someones in trouble.
Although some bash connect a lot of people bought it.
The funny thing is a lot of my friends bought there kids x boxes shoot my niece has one and when I go to visit she wants to play COD go figure right.

Release a dvd player so we can absorbe the cost. I haven't bought a dvd in years and buy a bluray every once and awhile.

People have there own ideas of how they measure success. The wii u will be over 2.5 million by the end of christmas and will prob hit 5 million before the end of Feb. Nintendo estimated 5 million by march. So by there own estimation they have succeeded initually. The next thing they need to do is find a better marketing firm and make sure that there retro or monolith studio game sts the bar for the next gen.
He's not saying the consoles aren't capable but more so the developers making games that run at that.
@ Shonen_82 I feel your pain as I only own nintendoland and have some downloaded games. I can't play anything else to I open my christmas present my girl got me. Got me games.
But think about it this way those third party games look good on the other systems but do you really want a next gen system for the purpose of playing ports with shoehorned controls?
I'm hoping that a few third parties release something that we say damn I didn't see that coming in...

I get you can be confused by the games because the box looks the same but if i'm looking a box and there is a system with a tablet I bet bells and whistles would go off and I would say why does this look different.
