It's abstract in the fact that it's advertising a video game console, yet it shows absolutely no videogames. If the point of advertising is to sell a product, this failed miserably. They're trying way too hard with commercials like this. It really does remind me of some of the awful commercials during the PS3 era with creepy crying baby dolls.

PlayStation has exactly one generation over Xbox. That's not an excuse at all. Xbox has been a thing for 17 years now. That's more than enough time to cultivate 1st party talent.
Honestly, Xbox lacked it last generation as well. MS was just able to disguise it due to all of their 3rd party partnerships that made the 360 seem as if it had more exclusives than it really did. However those of us who really paid attention could see the emperor had no clothes.
What I "think" of sex is completely irrelevant to this topic. I'm commenting on what I SEE in video game sex scenes. It's always beyond ridiculous looking and never necessary to show. Sex can so easily be insinuated without it being gratuitous.
To be honest, I find sex in video games to be nothing more than cheap titillation that caters to neck-bearded, basement dwelling virgins. Not once, not...ONCE have I ever thought a sex scene in a video game (and most movies for that matter) made that game better or was even necessary.

I'm saying gamers should expand their palette a little when it comes to gaming tastes, rather than just playing the same old stuff year after year.
And a console exclusive at that. To me that makes it all the more impressive.

I hate to admit it but I agree. All the sex without the BS relationship baggage? I think most would go along with that.
I think we are being entirely too presumptuous in thinking that just because we invent something that can calculate at super high speeds, that it's a foregone conclusion that it will have consciousness, self awareness, feelings, emotions, the ability to analyze and reason, etc like truly biological, living things. By presuming such things we sell our own uniqueness way too short.
