Nailed it!
@monkey602
No one needs to wait for an official unveil to start squirreling away the money for it though. We ALL know the console is going to cost somewhere in the range of 400-500 dollars. I already have 700.00 saved for the console, extra controller, and a couple of games.
This is going to be an absolute banner year for PlayStation!
Dreams
Nioh 2
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
MLB the Show 2020
The Last of Us Part 2
Ghost of Tsushima
And then we get to cap the year off with the PS5 launch!
Sony is sending PS4 out in style! Impeccable software support to the very end! This is why I am primarily a PlayStation gamer! Its software support is second to none!
"Worry" isnt the right word. No one is "worried." Is Sony strategizing based on what MS does? Perhaps. But only fans and media use terms like worry. I'm sure Sony has "Plan A, B, and C" strategy propositions based on what the competition does. Thats just smart planning. These things aren't nearly as dramatic and "cloak and dagger" as the media likes to make them sound. Its business and any good business person will tell you, you take the...
@monkey 602,
Why not though? Why "cant" they wait? Just because we as fans are impatient? LOL.
All of those games will be out before June except Ghost of Tsushima, which has been confirmed as a cross-gen title. So it would make sense for Somy to promote that game alongside the PS5. I'm thinking we may not hear anything else about PS5 until around E3. Sony could wait until after MS has their E3 presentation to find out what XSX is go...
They may not say a word for a while. Dreams just launched to critical acclaim. Nioh 2 will launch pretty soon. Then Final Fantasy 7. Then The Last of Us Part 2. Then Ghost of Tsushima. Sony still has to put focus on THIS generation and market these great games coming in 2020.
How in hell do you KNOW that Xbox has a "power advantage" when final specs have not been officially released by either company? I love how Xbots just presume this.
@Tetsdah
No, GT Sport has SOLD over 8 million copies! Jesus, Google isnt hard to use!

@DrakeFan1
GT Sport has sold over 8 million copies. Look it up.
Well to be fair, GT Sport HAS sold 8.2 million copies as well. It's not like when MS says "2 million players stopped by Sea of Thieves last month on Game Pass."
They need to go on Fallon and Conan O'Brien and promote it. That would be some great exposure.
3. No
And the Vita!
It depends on the game. For racing/sports, fighting, competitive first/3rd person shooters, etc I do think 60fps is very important. However anything else, I leave it at the discretion of the developers.
I just hope all this critical acclaim will lead to strong sales for it. I'm genuinely concerned for the future of Media Molecule if Dreams doesn't take off in a big way. After being in development for 7+ years, I question whether or not it will recoup the cost. It can't simply be a niche thing. Dreams needs to become a sensation. Not just for the sake of Media Molecule but so Sony will be encouraged to continue to support unconventional projects like this. I don't want t...
With Dreams, TLOU PT 2, GOT, and FF7 Remake, PS4 is going to own the GOTY conversation this year!
They dont if you wait for flash sales and other discounts on PSN and the MS Store. I just bought days gone two days ago for 19.99. I got Resident Evil 7 for 7.99 a few weeks back. The discounts are there if you're just patient.
Does this guy EVER shut up?
Lol keep telling yourself that.
Just on PS4 alone you have Dreams, Nioh 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, MLB 2020, and The Last of Us Part 2 all releasing before June. Then Ghost of Tsushima out later in the year. Xbox has Ori and the Will of the Whisps coming soon. Switch has Animal Crossing coming pretty soon.
