how are they playing catch up when the Xbox One it self not a separate piece of hardware can be use to make a game? And second, they are letting them use it free for a year, but they will have to pay for it after that. which will be thousands of dollars compared to 500$ for a Xbox One.

What high end stuff? Sony barley showed anything at E3. Sony didn't show anything because they have nothing to show. Any real gamer will admit right now Xbox One has better games, and that is fact. On the other hand, the xbox is also the only console that is moving us forward. Not just with prettier graphics, but wit new features like the ability to match make for one game while playing, and another being able to scan a 3D model of your face on to game characters.
I think this will b a big success for Microsoft. I am really looking forward to it.
