Im interested to see what they will come up with. I can see the concept of buying apartments and virtual furniture wont appeal to the core people who buy the console and by doing these changes, they can make sure Home appeals to the core audience.

You're missing the point. there are around 130 million PS2s sold WORLDWIDE and that's over a period of 7 years and 5 GTA games. The PS3 hasn't reached a price point where its cheap enough for anyone to buy it. The bottom range 360 has and yet a lot of people are holding back before they go into this gen.
There are 1.2 million PS3s in the UK.
2.2 million Xboxs. Of course they have sold more copies. These sales numbers show that consumers prefer to play it on the PS3. The PS3 has a higher attach rate.

According to VGChartz, nearly 5 million PS3s have been sold in North America. 3.2 of those owners have signed up to PSN. I think Sony needs to change the account signup and management system so its slicker and not using the web browser.
I think its very probable in Europe. Especially since its the full game and there will be an even bigger install base by then in Europe.
I estimate about 7-7.5mil in Europe.
Hopefully this will arrive before my copy arrives in the post from amazon when they can be bothered to dispatch.
B.S. The sales date shows that consumers prefer to own GTA on the PS3 and that the sales numbers for both versions were very close despite the 360 having a bigger install base in the UK by 2.2:1.2
They should change the hard drive sizes by the end of the year so the replacement model is at the current price. It could have an 80GB, 40GB gets cut in price while stocks last.

Um one of the selling points is that it supports HD!
Summer they said. Last time i check its still Spring. I'm betting on an update (2.40) coming late May/early June since an update is due around that time (every 3 months they said (excluding 2.30)). Its also logical that they would update the system, maybe with accomplishments if you're lucky, before the BIG game arrives. They timed the new store well to arrive before GTA IV, same may happen here.
I can already see improved graphics and this is pre-alpha!
How can you tell the quality of the graphics with such a poor quality video like that...
If it came out in October, GTA would have been a serious threat to the PS3. But because it was delayed, the tides turned. It came out on PS3 high momentum rather than the other way round.
The sales would be better if they had more in STOCK.

This is good because it will help cut the gap between the consumers and Sony. It will also bring people to the store where all the content is.
Basically if you wont be buying DLC and wont mind waiting for accomplishments to arrive, then the PS3 version is best for you.
