I recon Tosh are just getting rid of their players and are trying to get them all sold before the situation is even worse and they would have to sell for even less money. They probably have so many players in stock to get out there.

People will always want to play movies on more than one machine. You cant really do that with VOD unless you count your PC and iPod. I mean like other TVs, let other people borrow yours.
VOD is a novelty atm.
There are som decent HD DVD movies coming out soon but the the blu side have better and those HD DVD movies could be making their way to blu-ray not too long down the road anyway.
I think Blu-ray sales have increased because more people are jumping in. But also, i think HD DVD sales have decreased as people have decided not to invest any more money in a soon to be dead format.
Lots of people predicted that Warner's decision would quickly make HD DVD dead. But that was with the expectation of Warner going exclusive with immediate effect which clearly hasn't happened. But the 3 week delay on all HD DVD titles has and will help and customers are getting inf...
I have said this before. If the MacBook (PRO) gets Blu-ray, i could easily go Apple.
I have never had a disk read error on my PS3 im happy to say :)
Last week it was 65:35 so a significant increase!

being the BBC, they let other companies and consumers decide and probably wont jump until the last minute before the ship sinks.
I dont feel they are putting customers first. Putting a price tag to get the features iPhone users have been enjoying for some time now and then giving it away for free on iPod touch's bought from now.
