But PC requires Windows to run Halo.
@2pacalypsenow
That's the point of unifying platform on Windows and Microsoft. Both games will be available on both platforms from here on out. Microsoft is still winning regardless.
@rainslacker
It comes to show this was probably a controlled leak from Microsoft. When you have more than 3 different sources telling you the same thing, that's more than enough to make this a report than a rumor now. That's how journalism works in any industry. Like they said, specs aren't final, but Scorpio is coming in 2017, Xbox One Slim is the end of the year, and two Xbox streaming devices coming soon. That's what I took out of this, everything else is...
@darthv72
Sounds like you don't visit the Nintendo and Microsoft store often.
@jb227
I don't know if you ever check the Sony online website before, but they don't offer trade in. Sony brick and mortar stores don't exist anymore. Microsoft has an online store and they offer trade ins. So yes, Rookie's point is valid.
Yes, Gamestop will plummet the value of trade-in for these older systems once they're announce Scorpio and Neo at e3 due to people that will trade in for new hardware.
Of course it's gonna happen! More inventory for Gamestop and Microsoft and more sales for used and new consoles. Win/win for gamers and Gamestop and Microsoft stores.
@Majin-vegeta
Well it got them excited once again, wouldn't you be excited if your platform is getting back on performance factor of gaming? Seriously, this comment doesn't help from both sides other than getting attention.
@GrubsterBeater
The problem is you don't understand them. They have a different taste in games than you. Xbox has plenty of great games. They just don't strike your fancy, but there is no reason to say they make no sense and undermine them.
@Wallstreet37
Better specs? Definitely.
Better games? That's subjective.
I'm a Sega guy, but I've grown to love Nintendo over time cause of the nostalgia. Yea Sega Genesis was subpar performance, but I prefer their games over Super Nintendo. Brings me to the point, word of mouth never applied to me, cause I made my own decisions on which game system I want to buy. Mostly, I go against popular opinion, cause they have different taste t...
@memots
Yeah they apparently mattered 3 years for Sony fanboys. So I don't know what you're trying to point out honestly...very funny to me. What difference does it make if it's Rookie's reason now? No difference on the reason why people bought a PS4 before the exclusives rolled in.
@dp277407
I have been visiting this site for over 3 years now and have no clue what you're talking about. It is a very PS centric crowd on N4G and the other gaming forums all know this. That's fine! Everyone can pick a side and more power to them. To say the Xbox camp is worse than Sony camp is just ridiculous right now. Every xbox article are flooded with fanboys (I would say mostly Sony fanboys) that contains negative votes if someone says something positive about...
TVs use UHD-1. The standard format for "4k TVs." That's very different from DCI 4k, which is native 4K resolution. DCI 4k is only used in the film and video production industry.
This all goes back to the 2012 leaked documents about Xbox being a universal platform. Streaming device and TV were all listed in their internal documents.

You can find the rest of the documents online. Interesting read. A lot has changed since then, but some of the stuff remains intact.
@Shaun2k5
Yep and how cheap flash memory is, this is certainly plausible. Even more so if the hybrid console rumor turns out to be true.
@kraenk12
Let's wait to judge after the finished product comes out. Betas are such...work in progress.
@Godmars290
If you read the original article on Polygon. Sweeney explains they spend $12 million on Gears 1 and gain huge revenue. By the time Gears 3 came out, it cost 5-6 times as much as Gears 1 and the revenue was super small. So making Gears 4 at $100 million dollars wasn't as far fetch as it seems. Like Sweeney, they would have broken even or loss a lot of money. That's one of the main reason why Epic left the console segment and sold Gears to microsoft. They ...
Why do people get resolution and graphics all mixed up? Here is the good example of the difference. You have two JPG files. JPG 1 is set at 1080p. JPG 2 is set at 4k. The contents and visuals on both images look the same, same graphics, art style, etc. The difference are the canvas sizes. If you stretch JPG 1 to 4k, it's gonna pixelate. If you downsize the JPG 2 to 1080p, sure it's gonna look a tad sharper, but hardly noticeable cause the screen size is small. It might even pixelate c...

Neo's GPU cores are 'twice' as many as the original GPU cores, doesn't mean the GPU or console is twice as powerful. This is basically a console that can display 4k resolu...

The Neo console is just spec'ed out for 4k resolution output since 4k is basically twice the resolution as 1080p. Internet is blowing this up over nothing. They are strict about supporting th...
