I agree that I don't know what the situation is, but just because "times are tough" it is no excuse for piracy. If he has original games, but no longer a ps2 then he is justified in emulating on his PC? Afraid not. He must unfortunately go out and buy a ps2;the $130 he is saving by using an emulator is $130 that was "saved" by playing ps2 games dishonestly. I know I sound like a prude, but if you do not feel bad about playing games on an emulator rather than paying for tha...
I agree that all articles that condone piracy should be kept off N4G, wheteher it be console or PC. I think though that the articles you mention were only reporting that (for example) RE5 has been cracked and has been leaked onto torrent sites. It does not give a link to where to go to get the software like this one does.
Anyhow I seem to not be among likeminded folk; seems most guys here don't see a problem with piracy: too bad.
Sorry my friend, but what you are stating is not cool. Please rather buy your offspring a ps2 and some original games.
I'm pretty sure that poeple using the emulator own a ps2 and are using it to play their own original ps2 discs on a pc...Come now, that makes no sense. We all know that the ps2 emulation software "promoted" by the posted story is created with piracy in mind. Does this site condone piracy?
Hey guys. I've been surfing N4G for a long time, but only registered now and this is my first "comment". I'm sure I won't be too popular for saying this, but I don't think this "story" should be posted on N4G. I'm pretty sure ps2 emulation is illegal and the guys creating these emulators should be reported not given advertising space on a respected site like N4G.
Do not click if you're expecting the "secret" to be a new world / character / armor / weapon etc.
It's 3 separate pages of the author (in quite interesting fashion) speculating that the Dark Souls games take place inside "paintings".
