Compelling argument, but all you did was argue why Sony is currently in last place, and losing ground monthly. They tried to do too much with the PS3, and shove a format down consumers' throats whether they like it or not, and now both Sony and consumers are figuratively and literally paying for it. I can't lie, I own a PS3, use it to play games and watch movies, the former not so much lately though, but I think Sony really dropped the ball on this one. 2 out of 3 AINT THAT BAD!
Since Husso is clearly a fanboy himself, I would like to let everyone know that these bumbers are ALWAYS within 5-15% or less of the numbers released by the NPD, so these are a very solid look at how consoles are selling in the market currently, as opposed to waiting till the end of the month for the NPD. There is also nothing fanboyish about the Wii outselling everyone else, when that is what is actually happening. Get a clue husso. Oh, and btw, I own a 360 and PS3, not a Wii.
God this game looks soooo amazing. This is already pre-ordered and paid fo' for me at EB, and I cannot wait till the 20th shows up, it will seem like forever, but at least I have COD4 to tide me over until then. I really hope this comes out this Christmas, I would love to be tied up with this game till I am off house arrest mid-Jan. This is a surefire system seller, Uncharted, not so much. As much as I love the demo, I just do not think it will get enough exposure to sell systems this holiday. It will be secondary title most people will pick up who get a PS3 this christmas I think, and definitely at the top of the list for all of us who already own a PS3.
DJ, actually, 360 has a much higher attach rate for game software than PS3 does, not even close. I don't know where you got that idea. Oh btw, I own a PS3, but I would be lying if I said it had a higher attach rate. HDDVD also has a higher attach rate too btw.
Since clearly some of you do not know what you are talking about, I will let you guys in on a little secret. 1080p makes absolutely NO difference for movies, since they all run at 24fps. 1080p is only good if the media in question is running at 60fps, because then you see all 60fps in a single pass. 1080i renders only 30 frames each pass, but guess what, movies are 24fps, so what does that mean? 1080i.p render the same amount of data on screen at the SAME time. Extra levels that 360 couldn't handle? WHAT? They created those extra levels after the release of the 360 version so there would be a reason for people to buy it on the PC. It wouldn't benefit the interest of the developers to release the PC exclusive levels on the 360, because then why would someone buy the PC version too if they already have it on the BOX. I own a 360 AND a PS3, I love them both, but lets just get the facts straight please. That's all I was trying to do. Not sure where you got the idea that the 360 was selling poorly, in fact, it is quite the oposite. Last year in october it only sold about 220k units. That is a HUGE increase.
What are you talking about? Either you are clearly misinformed, or are just making stuff up. The 360 isn't having ANY problems selling, AT ALL!! In october, the 360 outsold, in the US, the wii by over 100k units, and the ps3 BY OVER 600k units!!! Worldwide, the 360 outsolde the PS3 by over 300k units. So if the 360 is selling like sh!t, I hate to think what you would describe the PS3 sales as being.
