My opinion it does need some support from Sony over here in the West, it definitely doesn't need saving in Japan. Maybe some of those ideas could be long term plans to convince people to buy Vita

Congrats to Nintendo on the 3DS success, they deserved it with the marketing and effort they put into the device.
The sales gap difference doesn't really matter or bother me I just hope the Vita reaches the sale that Sony expects the Vita at so developers can support it.

Gung Ho Online or Tecmo Koei are my top choices atm. I would like a company with EU/NA branch so localization for Western fans is faster.

There are a few things Sony could do to make the Vita more appealing to people
Here are a few of my opinion
1. Sony needs new IP that can focus on the PSVita bringing AAA games to the PSVita utilizing most of the functions that the PSVita comes in. Many developers are just not taking the PSVita seriously and creating half ass games and releasing bad ports. (Tearaway is a game that utilizes the PSVita functionality really well)

Wow great news I'm glad I was holding off on purchasing D4 on PS3, Nippon Ichi just made it better by doing a remake for the PSVita and not a simple port.

The visual on the Vita games are just beautiful on the OLED screen.

Yeah, I did read up on that it's just what I mention are long term plans to keep the Vita sales stable. Most of the post and blog give ideas that are usually short term that would only give Vita sale spikes here and there and remain low in sales after a week or two.
I believe sites like Kotaku just want more clicks and viewers, anything mentioning Vita needs saving or dying usually attract alot of Vita owners/haters to view and comment about it.
