Is it perfect? No. Is it still pretty bad ass? Yes.
I didn't like how the blades moved around when he was using it, seems that would throw the balance off badly. He should have used thicker steal, made the base wider and had the blades tapered to a sharper point at the end.
Still a cool project though.
On the bright side maybe the games will get more polish considering the individual studios will have 3 years between their version of COD to fine tune things. Either that or maybe they will have time to make COD and maybe 1 new original IP each during the 3 year span?

Well i think both companies have crappy drivers every once and a while.
AMD has had really good drivers the last few years. I havent had any driver problems at all with my 5850 or my 7970. (unless you count the new mantle driver which is still in beta).
I think people have this perspective because AMD's drivers from many years ago were not as stable as nvidia, but these days id say they are pretty comparable.
Why do people feel this way about AMD?
I like supporting AMD because they do not try to corner the market with proprietary technology like Nvidia does with things like physX. PhysX didnt do anything special that other physics engines couldnt do, it just made it so that the game physics just worked on nvidia cards.

When you crossfire 2 powerful cards, even with a really good CPU you are probably CPU limited.
So yes battlefield should see a large increase with users who crossfire high end cards. The ones who crossfire low to mid range cards may not see as much of a gain because they are not as CPU limited.
If it had no Kinect I would be happier. I just don't like cameras looking at me all the time, I learned this after buying the original Kinect and PS move. Always had them facing down when not in use. Hell the only time I even played with them was like the 1st few days I had them just because they were exciting and new. I discovered that motion anything just isn't my game, I have a ps4 now and don't plan on buying the ps4 camera.

Yeah, mantle is for all cpu's that are a bottleneck for the system. In the case of the 290X crossfired, those cards are very powerful alone so if you have two of them even with a powerfull CPU you are still bottlenecked by your CPU. Mantle relieves this bottleneck by making more efficient use of your CPU.
3d Blu-ray is the best way to watch 3d. Its clearer than the 3d you see at the theater, and you can buy the movie and keep it forever for almost the same price as 2 people going to see a 3d movie at the theater. Plus you get to sit in your comfy living room!

Halo 2 multiplayer would be VERY popular. Let me put it this way... I would buy an xboxone JUST FOR a halo 2 MP... A lot of the people that were disappointed with Reach and Halo 4 would flock to it.
Plus its the only halo to have dual wielding!

For everyone getting their campaign deleted on the ps4... the ps4 has a cloud save system... USE IT!
If you see your progress has been deleted DO NOT START A NEW GAME, go upload your last cloud save and boom your back where you left off.

To put it in layman's terms...
Direct X speaks a different language than the rest of your computer and your computer uses resources to translate the information.
Mantle is basically speaking the same language that your pc already understands so it doesn't have to waste resources translating the information which results in a performance boost.
I had a friend who has a very nice gaming pc and he was telling me he wants a steam machine.... I almost slapped him right then and there.
I calmed down and explained that steam machines are just pc's built for steam and that its practically the same thing as his gaming computer running steam in big picture mode. Told him that what he really needs a ps4 if he wants a new console because it will at least have good exclusive games to complement his gaming pc.
All those machine have decent gaming specs and will play damn near everything on steam.
Even the lower level ones look like they would play current games fine, maybe on low to medium settings but still very playable. Console gamers are just going to have to learn to adjust some graphics options is all.

The rest of the game seems cool though. I especially like how the game ends with the losing team retreating and the winning team trys to kill them all before they escape. That's a new twist on ending multiplayer games.
