Yup, we'll wait and see, wont we, rekcus kcoc. (Oh, sorry - I meant Feihc Retsam.)
As if you have any clue, fanboy prime.

Yup, cause you are officially all game quality control manager now, yup??

Huh? I'm not quite following your train of thought here. What are you trying to say.......on a god of war 3 thread?

Ah, still the little cu*t there brink. Hows puberty working out for you little lady?

Dammit Mods! Sort this sh*t out quickly please! Every Fuc*ing game is being ruined by these kids! (You've relegated me to the open zone double quick time just for insinuating incestuous relationships between posters and their immediate relatives, so people who are trying to waste peoples money and spoil enjoyment should be comprehensively removed ASAP!) They're going to stop traffic to the site if you're not careful.

Talking of nerds and grammar nazis, nice Shatneresque speech pattern you got there murderdolls.

Agreed 100%! Why didn't the evil just take off in a puff of black smoke, leaving a knackered combine harvester. The whole disappearing thing just made it seem like a ghost tractor! Next level includes floating muck-spreaders and poltergeist rotary plows.
(AND why the fu*k did the thing bounce off 'Alan' like a dodgem car?!? Surely he would have been mulch!)
Theres a tonne of potential in this game, but some of the design decisions seem to be a bit odd, to put it mildly.

Hmmmm....Tronz is a new account, and a bit 'fanboyish', but he seems to have a bit more tact / discretion than Bungie. GR8 1 is just an out and out kid. Hilariously immature blanket statements whenever this lad comments, but if he's building up bubbles, then there may be alt accounts on the scene.

...yup, but alan wake still looks good. My PC's optimised for work, so games play like ass.

(Stil wouldn't buy a 360 as any spare cash is going towards a new HD TV and a new house, but some of the games do look good.)

Yup, sorry dude. PJP II's right. Work has got to come first, but gaming will always be there if managed well. Academia, socializing,gaming.... (Usually as a 4am insomnia buddy, when you're stressing about final dissertations, etc)

Ghost, take your pseudo-intellectual sh*t somewhere else man. Yeah, yeah. Everyone understands the deep pain and profundity of your 'mutterings' but this article could do without your brand of waffle. This is just fu*ked up, and the parents should be dealt with as torturing murderers, 'cause that is what they are. It's not gamings fault, not society, or any other 'easy' target. The finger of blame points squarely at these two fuc*ers, square in the eyes.

Yeah, and my dad's better than your dad! Come on dude, I can easily see the positives that crysis brought to the gaming landscape (benchmark graphics, etc), but the hating for KZ2? It Just comes across as rabid fanboy denial.

..but all 3 examples given fail to be valid examples of 'interactive' storytelling. The limitations within the contexts given are greater than heavy rain's restrictions, therefore cannot be classified as better.
Wood, keep your chin up dude. You were right, even if you didn't realise it.

Absolute is pushing it by several margins into hyperbole, but I can appreciate how you could see it that way.
Taking this from a purely gaming perspective, please name a couple of games that offer true freedom, whilst providing any degree of pace.
(Please, No mention of little computer people! (I'm way too old!!)

edit - I just figure that there's a degree of compromise that most players are prepared to tolerate in pursuit of an interesting gaming experience. I enjoyed...

Any situation based 'interactive' form of entertainment requires a degree of marshalling, or dictatorial restriction as a form of compromise. In this case, a specific story (and its myriad branches) has to be the focus. It wouldn't work in any way, shape or form if people could disengage from 'the experience'.
Much like any sport has rules to maintain a coherent structure and momentum, there has to be immutable markers and restrictions if the player is to feel supported, and to provide...

Odds on Greenburg declaring victory on FF13 (Cough, sorry XIII) discs 'shipped'
"Again, we beat our rivals with 3 discs 'distributed' for the xbox platform for every 1 on the ps! Rarrrggghhhhh!"
Good ole' fashioned MS spin.

Ah, Still with your Freudian Mom fixation! White teeth indeed! Try sneaking into her room at night if you're that frustrated pal. Im sure that she'd be too hungover to feel you trying to undo her bra and panting heavily in her ear.

(Borgome: Check the stats dude - how old is the average xbox owner? Just asking, as wondering what the fu*k a console has to do with seeing naked women? For most of us it's just a naturally reoccurring fact of life, but you seem to be getting really ...

Your dad skimping on the lube again dude?

You know this story's rubbish, so stop flaming.
