Yep you made a good point TheLazyOne. Your right that it's not the surveyors job. I think it's much more straight to the point with just the results. Still getting more people to take it, will update after 1000 people have taken the survey.
The main goal of this pre release information is to get more results. We're a young site (under a week!) and sites like IGN would not do such a survey, as stated the results are Creative Commons Attribute so people can use them on there own sites etc.
I agree. Spore is one of the few games I was going to buy this year, and bang instantly I decided buying it would justify EA's stupidity.
It's freak just how many people stated they are not buying certain games due to DRM. It's not a small percentage, in fact it's something the studios could fix overnight.
The problem is big name sites won't touch the issue of piracy, they like to pretend only evil terrorists are pirates. It's a issue that needs addressing!
Agreed! I was going to buy spore after I reviewed it, then bang the DRM has stopped me from giving my money to EA. I legally wanted to buy a game, despite the pirates not having the problem, EA fecked us all over!
The problem is do you really have to update that often? I mean most games systems that where made when the PS3 first came out can run modern games, sure with lower graphics but with consoles it's forced lower graphics.
That would be the pefect reason to have a easier rating system. Instead of mhz games could say 'Requires Level 33 Graphics card' and the graphics cards could be sold in levels. Sure some hardcore gamers would still by cards by mame and power, but it would help so much
I think I played that. Does it start where you are driving a car though somewhere like Iraq? if so, yes it's horrid!
I agree in some degrees, but to be honest Windows is strong in other areas. Apple just are not upto the task with main selling points such as the range of other software. Working on RG I use so many products that apple simply can't provide me. Ubuntu however works better in that degree.
Yeah, I here that to. Resonance-Gaming is going to be there, so I hope it's something big! My guess is making games for windows a 100% free service, no more paid crap.
Er.. thanks for adding to the debate, it's always nice to hear intelligent comments!
I tend not to worry to much about it. Graphics in games get a lot worse than that, that said I can see why it would irritate some.
Very true! I've added this to the article. Thanks for the idea.
I think that every time I see a sims pack come out, or when I heard about the Sims Shop. It's trying to rip every penny from fans.
It's OK I understand, but every time it gets 1 or 2 pendings, nothing else. I think it's due to E3, anything that's not directly related is being skipped. Not had reports for it, but not had approvals either. It's confusing me!
I'd love to know your pet peeves in video games. :) - Dan from RG
Not really. Say for example rental cost 7.99 a month, 2 years would cost under 200, with always updating hardware. Now think how much consoles cost you?
Thought as much. Heh, I got excited at the idea of playing PS3 games on a PSP, would give me a reason to buy the consoles... but yeah a little to soon for that to happen :(
Oddly for Capcom the first game worked really well on the PC, it had lots of settings and didn't feel to much like a rushed port! I hope if this comes to the PC it is the same!
