Microsoft just tried to get the casual crowd with Kinect. If it worked they could have huge sucess like the Wii and still get the hardcore crowd. They didnt wanted to go the same path as playstation where they dont have the franchises or the worldwide appeal.

A gamepad with batteries will never be next gen. It wasnt at 2013 and it isnt at 2020. One of the pad got a lot of new features and the other copy the share buttom. If the features will be used or not, that another question. In terms of next gen gamepad, its really easy to see wich is and wich isnt.
No it doesnt. The latest report from Microsoft show a drop in games sold. The math is really easy to make. For the low marketshare of microsoft got Gamepass it the only path for them, but for Sony and Nintendo not really. Their numbers are huge. Putting day one triple AAA games would be just stupid. The money they make its just huge, comparing 1, 2 or 9 bucks to 59 to 69 each game.... Come back when Microsoft got 200 million subscribers from Xbox and PC.
After all that devs have been saying. Some are still joking about the SSD and i/o on the PS5. Lets wait when in june Microsoft conference talks about SSD and magic secret sauce to will make it better, only then some will say its a huge jump... The reality is that Microsoft told the SSD on the Series X is 40% faster then the Xbox and Sony told that the PS5 100 times faster then the Playstation 4. The math is really easy.

Its hard for the service strategy of Microsoft. Big franchise take years to make and they can fail. This is why microsoft keeps the halo, forza gears combo over and over. The problem is that those franchises dont sell like they did on the 360... Microsoft need to go all out. Microsoft need to let the studios do another thing and not spin offs.
