Man Microsoft is drifting farther and farther away from hardcore gaming. Seems like they are all R&D and no games these days. Hope this isn't true because it just doesn't look like it will improve hardcore games.
What stage of development would they be at if this was true ....... for argument sake. Doing mocap work means were still far off from a complete product.
Square was so smart to buy eidos. So far they have been doing well with their IP's.
But 4K resolution will look crazy good. Anyone who has seen a 4K TV in action has to agree. I'd jump on that action day one.
There are still some great games coming to PS3 next year. Starting to think we won't see PS4 next year for sure. Nextbox either. Just don't think the games will be ready. Thinking they both know how important it will be to launch with a great title.
Just make them backwards compatible so people don't bitch.
New consoles should come out when there is a new leap in tech or the 7 year mark when they can create much better games with updated hardware. Which ever comes first. Think about it, most great games take 2 to 3 years to make so a great studio can only do a couple games a generation.
Console gaming has always been console gaming. NES was more powerful than many pc at the time. Don't think power matters... Console gaming is whatever it is and it has all the attention.
Classic Sony move. Smart is the studio pays off with quality games and then a great new ip exclusive down the road.

With day one psn releases, plus games and vita it would seem that they are prepping for a massive focus on digital downloads. Plus the new ps3 has large hdd. Makes sense if they want to hurt used game sales and move to a cloud gaming future. Only problem is ISP. Maybe google will fix that.
I'm so excited for this game for some reason. Almost enough to say its the game I'm most looking forward to playing this Xmas season.
