Don't talk to me about Jesus, that f*ck*ng snake oil salesman - he's been ruining his brand longer than Phil Spencer has been ruining Xbox. ⸮

Well said, it really is a case of the inmates running the asylum.

Every single article that reports anything even remotely positive about the Xbox brand (or Nintendo or Stadia or PC to a lesser extent) see's the same users that by their own admission have no interest in the platform, downvoting en masse and leaving negative comments, it happens every single day. It's clearly because they perceive positive news about any other brand as a ...

I think that normal, rational people don't take those guys too seriously, it's easy to see who the idiots are just by looking through their previous comments - human psychology is an area I'm fairly well qualified in so I understand why they do what they do, they can't help themselves - ...

You're correcting Gangsta for being inaccurate with time periods whilst doing exactly the same yourself.

The original Xbox released in 2001, We are now almost in 2020. That's not 15 years, it's almost 20!

I'm glad to see Nintendo is doing well. After the horrendous sales of the Wii U, I'm happy to see the company bounce back and perform well again.

The video game industry would be a much worse place without Nintendo and it's creativity around.

***"I'll never understand what's so hardware intensive about God of War's map screen"***

Map / Inventory screens make the fans ramp up because quite often the framerate limiter is not active on these screens, so the GPU goes into overdrive. It's why many games crash on map / inventory screens rather than in game.

Yes it does, it clearly says "in engine" in the video title hosted on the official channel.

Change the thermal paste on the APU mate.

I was having all kinds of issues after about 2 years - random shutdowns with the thermal warning on reboot, fan ramping up massively all the time but not actually getting rid of any heat out the back.

Took it apart and it turns out the thermal paste was dried up and not very well applied at the factory.

Replaced it with some Kryonaut Thermal Grizzly and now it's ...

I took my PS4 Pro apart and replaced the stock thermal paste on the APU with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and it made it a LOT quieter. I found the factory applied thermal paste to be cheap, very dry and applied poorly - now the Pro's fans do not ramp up nearly half as often and never at full speed.

That compares to the 30cm x 24cm x 6cm dimensions of Xbox One X, Microsoft's currently most powerful and smallest console on the market. Those dimensions provide an estimated volume of 7936 cubic centimeters for Xbox Series X, almost doub...
