His marketing for MGSV was also almost nonstop. Everyday it was, "look at this, I made a poster", "look at this, I'm playtesting and it's snowy"
The Rockstar that made RDR Undead and the GTA IV Episodes is gone. They canned GTA V story DLCS because the online was already making tons of money. Like some other souless developers, they're all about generating attention through streamers/YouTubers and selling in game shit with real money now.

GTA IV is a perfect game in my book. A perfect GTA, at least. V felt dumbed down.
Gone Home was a cool experience if you went in without knowing anything about it - but I guess a lot of people killed that.

The open world totally sucked. It was copy pasted from Far Cry 2, a game from 2008: big map with small bases throughout, everyone wants to shoot you on sight.
Plus, it was Peace Walker on steroids. Peace Walker was decent but it wasn't our usual Tactical Espionage Action... hell, Ground Zeroes had more cohesion than TPP. (plus way more scenario detail, which shows how much they could do on a smaller scale, but still with tons of freedom).
What saved it from pure disast...

Had some flaws here and there, but was a technical marvel and the first game in this style where I felt that the choices mattered, and there were tons of then. Kara's story still haunts me
