Just because Randy Pitchford is a scumbag doesn't mean the entire company is. Borderlands is a great series and gearbox is the king of looter shooters.
I was having a hard time with the game because of all the muscle memory I have from souls/bloodborne. If you learn to play the game with parrying in mind it is much easier. It's very hard to not try and play it like other soulsborne games

At the beginning when you first fight the stranger, I didn't get a cutscene and just saw him standing outside and I couldn't fight him. That was my only problem in the whole game. God of war is literally the best game I've ever played

If you're talking about the controls, I had lots of trouble with aiming until this last patch where they added the aim acceleration slider option. Try turning it all the way down. It made the game so much better to me.
Also, my framerate has been really consistent lately (knock on wood) on my Scorpio. Haven't had a chance to try it on the og one yet

The large red 4 legged dog thing with the tentacles? It’s not unbeatable, it’s definitely a harder enemy compared to others but you can kill it no problem. Total bullshit that the guy above says he beat the first two biomes without dying though. I humbly consider myself above average at these types of games and still died on the first boss’ third phase.
