@Smelly1sam
All you did was show that Gaikai is shared between almost 30 companies. Sony just owns it now.
Even if it became a problem, it'd be a simple matter of making military-specific consoles that don't require the online check-in. Hell, paint them camo, if you want.
There, problem solved.
Har har, PirateThom.
I meant it in a way as to say that the author is biased towards the Sony console, that's all.
But technically, no...that statement is not incorrect in a mathematical sense.
So nobody cares that he ends the article with "4 > 1"?
Alright, then.
@Dmagic Or he/she has enough courage to brave the storm. Microsoft aren't idiots. If they were, they wouldn't have lasted half as long in any market as they already have.
@Heavenly King
Give the development to Rare and have them do it like Jet Force Gemini. The formula worked for the Mega Man Legends series, and lots of people want another one of those.
Even though I agree with your statements, I'm just going to point out that it was the captain of the English football team that originally called it 'soccer' to differentiate it from rugby football. AsSOCiation football = SOCcer. RUGby football = RUGger.
Now what happens if my wife wants to play the same game on her profile on the same Xbox one? Are we going to be forced to pay for the game again so we can both play separately? I may have to change her mind in regards to our upcoming console of choice, and I'd honestly hate to do that.
Actually, gameonbro, I'm not a fanboy, even by your defintion.
Sure, I only have a 360, but I also can't afford a PS3 or even a gaming PC. I have a kid and a family to support, and that includes bills and rent. My wife, on the other hand, doesn't want a PS4. She only wants an Xbox One. And I'm fine with that.
Last generation, I supported Sony with the PS2, while my brother got the Xbox. This generation, I got my 360 used a few years after he g...
This pleases me.
Are you really comparing the PS4 to the Xbox One by a comparison between an exclusive, first-party title and a cross-platform, third-party title?
Really?
I'm...I'm pretty sure this is why anyone who's not a Sony fanboy/girl doesn't like this site.
Xursz, it's not shoved down our throats. Just because it's included with every Xbox One and (possibly) required to operate, doesn't mean you have to use it. Just have it sitting on your TV and be done with it. Nobody is forcing you to buy Kinect-only titles or even forcing developers to put Kinect in their games.
C'mon, Syntax-Error. You know sales mean nothing, especially since Sony didn't make it up until they drastically dropped the price. It also took Sony seven years to catch up to Microsoft, that one year headstart not withstanding. This isn't a simple numbers game, and once fans start pulling sales figures to justify which system is better, you know it's a losing battle.
@SegataSanshiro So you hate it because it has the same UI? It actually doesn't; it has an evolved interface. I bet the PS4 still uses the XMB, just like all of Sony's products as of late. And you can't judge the console based on the Ghosts demo; it's a cross-platform title, not an exclusive. The game will look the same on both consoles. All they did was reveal the game at the Xbox One reveal, not give a tech demo of the Xbox One with it.
Yeah, the big venue is E3. Sony didn't need a huge venue, but they used one. Personal preference, if you ask me, but they both chose their venue for one reason or another.
I think Microsoft doing it at their campus is a lot better than some conference center in Los Angeles or New York City.
I don't care if I get downvoted for this opinion, but how exactly is it classy to reveal this the day before your competitor's reveal? It seems rather dick-ish, to be honest. Seriously, you got your day, now give Microsoft theirs.
Well, forcefullpower, I personally have it on the 360, but I can only guess that it might have to do with the controller. A keyboard compared to a game controller might make playing for long stretches easier. Since the only difference between the two versions is a controller (unless you used the same controller for both), then I'd have to go with that. If not, then it may just be in your head.
But as I said, I only have it for the 360, so I'm not exactly an expert on ...
If the next Far Cry (whether that's 4 or some other title) can deliver even half of what Far Cry 3 did, it'd be an awesome game.
Can't wait for the next one!
You just called it an under-powered, overpriced, spy-on-you-drm-lockbox, and you expect people to not think you're a PS fanboy?
I sure do hope you're a PC gamer, and even then...for shame, name calling and all that.
