The problem with that comparision is the price eventually goes down...this DRM shit unfortunately will still be here long after the price goes down.
I can't really blame people for thinking that there might be something more. Look how they teased MGSV, by calling it The Phantom Pain and advertised it like that for months saying it has nothing to do with Metal Gear...and then it was Metal Gear. So we aren't out of the woods yet, there might be more surprises at E3.

@skate I think so, I never had to really mess with anything so I'm not positive, oh another kinda annoying thing is that the beginning of every song you have to use the tuner, it only takes like 5 seconds to register every string but just a little annoying nothing horrible.
I personally love it:
+ Fun mini games to get you used to the different techniques.
+ Pretty good songs to play.
+ Good amount of DLC songs.
+ Good tool for inspiration (Now taking lessons cause it really got me into playing)
- Some songs are annoying or bad to play.
- You have to connect an A/V cable for sound and not use HDMI for sound, it will lag ever so slightly if you use HDMI.
- Sometimes you can cheat on some chords cause some so...
