I've been waiting for this, and I can't really put my finger on why. I enjoyed the game enough when it came out, but for some reason I could never bring myself to give it another go or try out new game plus. Maybe this will change things.
Agreed, though as long as it doesn't become a permanent part of the fallout games, I'm willing to pass this off as a Fallout 4 quirk. It's a fine exception, I actually find playing a character that isn't a complete blank slate a little refreshing, but I wouldn't want this to be the norm.
"Cheap and Plasticy" is the aesthetic I associate with the 1950s. It's all perfectly good to me.
I loved TS3, it's sill one of my favorite games of all time. Bring on TS4!
