@harmny , I understand your point but keep in mind literally no one is talking about what games Epic has made or what engine , they are referring to the epic game store.
@Seafort I couldnt have said it better myself.
same here , although im a casual fan at best , the constant pandering they did and political agendas they shoved down viewers throats in place of proper story telling really left a bad taste in my mouth. I wont see this one unless I hear good reviews from people I trust and they didnt enjoy TLJ either.
competition doesnt exist with exclusives , if netflix and hulu have a show or movie then they are competing. However , if one has exclusive rights to a show or movie then there is no competition. Competition when talking about stores comes down to features and functionality, competition when talking about stores involves choice and what Epic is doing is removing choice. No one would say anything if it wasnt exclusive because then there would actually be competition and everyone already knows...
Exactly man I am tired of the wall running , in air shooting and The nerfing if either attachments , perks, and assault rifles. Smg’s have had the top spot for multiple games now. Looking forward to more ground focused combat and perhaps not needing the movement speed of assault rifles or players in general.
Exactly , I have thought about that as well and if that did happen it Valve would suffer. The other option is that Valve could continue to do nothing and just wait until Epic runs out of money to eliminate them as competitors. Their current business model of buying these exclusives isnt sustainable.Honestly steam could probably not do anything and still be fine.
this is why i'm against this particular game, because of how you have mentioned and what I have heard. They essentially wouldn't have gotten to the point where Epic would give them money if it hadn't of been for the kickstarters, so imo they should at least give back the money to either epic or the kickstarters.
exactly literally this whole "war" can be won by either side doing make a few simple adjustments either steam match the % that goes to publishers/developers or egs actually improve their store where it is on par with steam.
when things become standardized that "starting point" your referring to goes away and companies are expected to already have up to date standard features. That would be like buying a car that doesnt come with air bags or seatbelts and you ask "where are my airbags and seatbelt " and the company says "Oh sorry we dont have those yet give us a few years , we are just starting out".
how long before i can buy it on steam ?
same , im waiting for the GTX series heavy hitters
seriously, im curious who is paying these people to say these things ?
To continue with your example @rpvenom, epic store is like if uber decided to road block lyft customers or deny them access to drive to certain locations or roads. So since lyft can now only drive customers to certain locations and not everywhere then if customers need to get to a location that is no longer available through lyft they would be forced to use uber. Also just to drive home the point , lets say that the uber vehicles in this example are off lower quality and dont have seat belts ...
i also gave up on the show , I wanted to enjoy it but I couldnt. Luffy almost ruins the show for me , I like what they do with him as for as fighting potential and his journey but his character at least to me is just annoying. I stopped in-between the underwater island/fishman arc i think. Back to luffy though , he is constantly getting lost and shows up at the last moment ,doesnt seem to be smart at all(he has a good heart though ) and is a burden to his crew(because of his stupidity).Luffy...
yeah can someone explain this to me , is this a business thing. Why doesnt valve just do the same thing that epic is doing? If they did im sure everyone would go back to steam. I know people say competition is good but I just want my games on the same client and my account has already been hacked on epic client from fortnite days somehow. Regardless , is this some kind of business decision why Valve wont just copy the model of epic to eliminate the competition?
i was more focused on enjoying it rather than trying to beat it, atmosphere was great and also was trying out the mechanics.
"yal dont have phones " lol
why are there so many people pushing for single player only games, Destiny is a great IP , it has way too much potential and for people who just like multiplayer that involves shooting only, Destiny fills that role. We have almost no shooters currently right except Destiny and Cod, and there are plenty of single player games out and coming out.
idk i think what is selling these games is that they feel "really good " to play. I can only speak for Destiny but I know that it has been brought up multiple times that the games gunplay was the only thing that kept players playing when there was no story element. Many games may have an excellent story but if they dont "feel good" to play and move around in then that could be a turn off to a lot of players.
Who paid this person lol ?
Epic games store growing only means that more companies will start to offer less product for more money. Every exclusive bought on Epic game store tells them that as long as they have money and can afford to lock down exclusives they dont have to do anything else for the consume. Those who support this business practice are literally shooting themselves in the foot.
