Some Sony haters will tell PC has better racing sims. I partially agree that. But PC sim cars will not exceed 100. Polyphony digital produced a benchmark of following.
1. GT2 on PS1(30MHz processor) = 650 cars, Best graphics, all on 2CD.
2. GT4 on PS2(300MHz processor) = 750 cars, Best Graphics, all on 1 DVD.
3. GT5 on PS3(3.2G Hz processor) = 1000 cars, Photo-realistic graphics, all on 1 BD
Can Anyone prove that any other racing games has 500...

There are more PlayStation & Nintendo fans in the world because each of those brands were(& are) the market leaders. I think there are very FEW millions xbox fanboys also.(All customers are not fanboys)

Consumers should be aware of the Game console purchase. Excuses like "only for online / only for motion control /" ..etc, is not good for their wallet. They should buy overall better which is safe(& value) for money

EA's best selling franchise is FIFA. It is sold more on PS3 worldwide. ( Like NFS on PS2 Days). So they are experimenting with other titles.
Not to forget PS3 owners are willing to pay $60 for a "BLURAY" (not for a DVD)
