If it runs proper 3D, It will be the biggest surprise. Activision couldn't rely too much on xbox only, because COD MW2 is the biggest selling PS3 game. PS3 version sold very well against the userbase gap + exclusive xbox marketing + timed DLC's.
Ok. Imagine which version will sell more on 2012 or after:-
A. PS3 version = 1080p60fps, 3D,Move, Bluray, Free online OR
B. xbox 360 = 720p60fps, 2D,kinect, DVD, Paid online ??????????

Actually It's still dvd,xbox360,wii,subHD and 720p era. Sony did a step advance with full HD 1080p ,120 fps gems like GT5 , Superstardust HD, Riiidge Raacer etc.
But on a long term cost effective perspective, Sony will receive the full rewards from their current risk.
Next Gen at least for Sony will be a surefire success.
because they don't want bluray. They should integrate xbox live with windows live into MS LIVE. Most xbox games are online players and they will definitely appreciate MS. The revenue + profit will be MASSIVE.
It's good to playstation owners also. they can expect some full bluray utilizing quality games without cutting content
