but Sony reduced the predicted operating income(loss) for the gaming division by 30 billion yen, they didn't say they were making an operating loss of 30 billion. Massive difference there.

"Another thing you should note is that these shots were taken through component video output on both consoles"

that statement makes the whole article rubbish and a waste of time.

Blade Runner converted me to Blu-ray, it was made it. It gives the film a whole new lease of life. Anyone who says upscaled DVD's are just as good has never watched a Blu-ray film. Watch Blu-ray films for a week then go back to upscaled DVD's and see if you feel the same.

It's funny how the author concludes that but doesn't mention that Disney are also one of the developers of Blu-ray. Some version of this game will appear on the PS3.

I think Sony should offer Jaffe the role as President of Sonys Computer Entertainment division. At least he knows what he's talking about.

He's only played on the first beta. There was some lag on it with players dying a few seconds after being shot etc but it was cleared up on the second beta.

What is impressive is LBP has sold steady figures in all territories.
In fact it looks like it's even picking up in Europe.
This is a game that's going to keep on selling and selling and with DLC fees etc it's going to provide a nice income to MM.

Expect Microsoft to release an Xbox360 "alternative" soon.

So a game doesn't sell over a million copies on it's first week of sales and it's classed as a failure.

I can remember CVG saying the same thing about MGS4 and how did that end up? Give it time.

I expect the 360 to shift more units this week with the release of The Last Remanant. Then again 100,000 copies of the game is very good. It'll be interesting to see how it sells on the PS3.

if it's all about price how come the 360 isn't beating the Wii then?

What about Variety (Microsoft owned)?

It sounds like someone is pissed they didn't get any exclusives out of this.

From the reviews Microsoft would have spent their money keeping this turd off their console.

All PS3's can run PS1 games, not just the 60gb model. Yet only the 60gb model can run PS2 games. You have the best of both worlds. If it's not on PSN then search Ebay for a copy of what ever game you want. Your 60gb PS3 model will happily run PS1 and PS2 games on their own.

PSN isn't actually that bad now. There isn't the massive gap between PSN and XBL that there used to be. In fact I do believe the NXE made XBL now slightly less user friendly than PSN. Kudos to Sony for sticking with it.

Sony give us more PS1 and PS2 games with a HD make over similar to Wipeout HD. Please......

Colony Wars HD
Destruction Derby HD
G Police HD

If these were on PSN it would blow XBL away.

Sony owns almost 10% of Square, so a percentage of any big Microsoft pays offs are going directly to Sony.

Microsoft released the Xbox360 Value pack in Japan during the week and advertised it heavily.

If Sony want to hype up Kill Zone 2 then announce a price drop for the PS3 a few weeks before Kill Zone 2 is released. On every announcement about the price drop have a photo if a PS3 / Kill Zone 2 pack. We all know a price drop is due after Christmas.
