I still can't understand why are MS and Sony just standing and watching this? Ok Sony has strong 1st party, just recently they aquired 2 studios, but MS is just standing there instead of buying these two studios, at leat BioWare is AAA-AAAA talent.

My guess is that PS3 40GB is different from inside. It is probably made different from inside, to be cheaper, something is missing that does not allows it to make BC with software. Strange.

They have to turn some profit somehow, at least developers need to. because whats the point for them in making on-line mode and community if they don't earn any thing?
Even if Sony cut price down to 99$ they would still say same thing. What do you expect them to say?

Sony is disoriented. First they talk about how important is backward compatibility for their Playstation brand (as it really is), than they abandon it and excuse is "People dont care about it" Okey....
Then they criticize Microsoft for having to many SKUs (3 at the time) and why they do after 6 months? they do same thing.

Thats my guess to. 1UP wants to make look bad or "nothing special" PS3 games. Hmm...could be BUT...to me it seems like 1UP has much much more worse video quality than one on Gametrailers. But that is not strange, their hate for PS3 games in repulsive, just check last 1up yours podcast to "feel" the love. I am getting sick of them and will probably stop listening them from now on.
This guys that wrote article forgot one thing. Kutaragi is gone, so strategy in Sony can not and will never be the same. Once PS3 picks up and starts dominating market for years to come, than folk at Sony will realize that they made mistake for removing console designer God Ken Kutaragi.
