I find that I read more about games than actually play them. I think that the article should add something about reading reviews and following the reviewers advice. Funny, I used to see those that followed reviews as small minded but now I am realizing I'm too busy to play them all.

I often wonder how game reviews will relate to a broader public. Not everyone plays games for a living so for me it is difficult to relate to some of these reviewers. Recently, I rented a couple of games that where not rated so well. It turned out that theses titles where immensely playable and in my opinion should have been given higher scores. I don't think that it is out of bounds to say that Japan generally see americans or american products as inferior. It was an uphill battle the entire time. I am not convinced that DVD will go like the VHS. The main reason VHS died was that there was no Backward compatibility (BC), but blueray players are making a mistake in adding BC because you are leaving the door open for consumers to select the cheaper media. The movie industry better stop using the DVD format, otherwise BC will be the albatross for blueray.
Since L&K and ACreed I have become a little leery about multiplatform outcomes. It seems that either of these aforementioned titles would have been far better if optimized for a specific console. I know COD4 was a cross console hit but too much evidence for pessimism.
The PS3 cost more because it is better. Lots of people dogg it cause the PS3 is getting some great games like Assassins Creed, Lynch & Kane, GTA4 and CoD4. I paid more for a Ps3 because I will be getting much more. In life it works that way if your willing to pay more. Everyone else is just sorry not to be getting their monies worth.
On xbox live I play against so many young numb skulls. I worry about those kids and the parents that do nothing to help them. Yea I am OK with my mental health but I can's say the same for the legions of overcompetitive, overweight, oversexed and sugar addicted gamers out there that solidify the stereotype. I would hate to meet some kid who played this game and forgot to take his retilin.
How is this news. There really is nothing else on PS3 right now. I'm really waiting for the good stuff, sony has promised. Up to GTA4 release the games where pretty slim. I really had no reason not to power up the xbox. Its a good game I like it and I can see how it required an immense amount of work and I appreciate that.
