no, ff doesnt rely on nostalgia. if it did, it would be far easier to simply rehash the same old things again again and be successful.

you can change resolution to 720p to make it more stable but its definitely not locked 30.

you cant expect solid fixed fps on an mmo, especially on console . depending on the number of chars you have on the screen itll always fluctuate. ff14 is 1080@60fps but it runs at 3fps during hunts.
that doesnt make it a 3fps game and it doesnt make it a solid locked 60fps either

leave the game running for too long and the game assumes youre stuck at a particular boss or something
highly subjective, i for one am dying to play xenoblade and zelda, but fact remains the console has ha nothing worthwhile since smash released last year.2 or 3 good games a year simply isnt enough
id say its dead because no one other than nintendo is supporting it and its exhausted most of its own ips already.
sure if it got all 3rd party games with the 3 or so great exclusives, then, youd have had a point but i for one am open to playing games that arent exactly goty as well....
